What You’llDo

• Formulate antifouling, foul-release, and non-biocide coatings for the pleasure craft marine business.Strong emphasis on developing next-gen products – R&D with big D
• Scope includes lab scale development, scale up, testing and launch as well as production support with batch supervision as needed.
• Learn and understand the fundamentals of the Company’s core technologies, processes and applications; become highly knowledgeable in existing product lines and work at translating customer needs into new products and services that bring quantifiable value.

The Profile

• B.S. Degree in Chemistry,  Polymer Science, Biology, Chemical Engineering or similar
• 1-3 years’ experience in liquid coatings formulation including product development experience – THIS IS THE CORE REQUIREMENT
• Experience formulating with biocides very helpful but not required
• Practical understanding of coatings application and testing using ASTM standards, ISO standards, and other standards as necessary.
• Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable in a paint manufacturing environment with a “Do what it takes” attitude.
• Resourceful, cheerful, friendly, and collaborative attitude. you’re a hands-on doer who likes to do their own work and experiments, not rely on technicians.
• Local to the Greensboro, NC area or willing to relocate.
